Ray Johnston showed some visible improvement this week and had some good days. He is undergoing some treatment again to fight his leukemia. Pray for his protection and for his strength to continue to increase. Pray for wisdom for him and his family as they evaluate the different treatment options.
Barbara Flesher continued to be evaluated Tuesday after her colon surgery was postponed. Pray for wisdom and protection.
Peggy Cooper (John’s mother) remains on hospice care and has a few good hours during the day. Pray for strength and comfort for her and her family as they tend to her needs.
Mary Nichols is home after spending two months in the hospital. She is recovering from heart valve replacement surgery. Pray for her to continue to gain strength, and for Bob as he cares for her.

Byron joins the Children’s Ministry staff to oversee Wednesday nights and ministry to grades 5 - 6. He is working toward a Masters degree in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. Byron has served as a college pastor and a youth pastor in two East Texas churches prior to coming to Northwest, and we are excited about the experience that Byron brings. serve in Northern Tanzania with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Pray for the people of Tanzania to thirst for
God’s truth in their lives. Please pray for Dusty and Kim as they will be attending an annual conference in Kenya. Pray for spiritual refreshment, productivity during the conference taking care of branch business, and for safety in their travels to and from Kenya. A prayer of praise for Kim is that she is pregnant with their second child. Pray for Kim during her
church in an unreached people group in Africa. Please pray for the expansion of the church through the gospel of Luke in the next two months and the Jesus film they will be showing as well. Pray for the continued growth of the new church and for the mentoring of two Kenyan translation consultants.
